RON & JOYCE SCHUMLICK

We are a family business that has been hunting in the area for more than 30 years. I have been involved in the hunting-outfitting business with my son for more than 12 years with mostly return clients. Northern Whitetail Outfitters is a new camp, which we purchased from Marilyn Morley in 2005 this has allowed us to expand.

The camp is approximately 3 townships of hard wood ridges mixed with mature forest and open meadows accessible only by 4 wheelers through my own farmland.

Guides include Todd Schumlick our son who lives in Whistler British Columbia. Todd has a degree in Kinesiology but enjoys the outdoors ever since he was in the mountain guiding industry in British Columbia. He brings with him a knowledge of CPR, survival training and much more medical training.
 
Kevin Thomas also helps us during the hunting season, Kevin was born and raised in the area and has been hunting and guiding in the area all his life and offers a wealth of knowledge of the area and the hunting techniques. His son Quinton also helps with set up's and prelim work.
 
Danny Halko is a local farmer who also has hunted and guided for the past 15+ years with many trophies to his credit including African hunts, many of our past clients request his expertise.

Mylo Dease "The Bear" man with the big heart always there when you need him , local man been with us from day one can't help but like him offers advise and assistance when required.

Mike Sarrazin is a young man with a ton of experience and knowledge of hunting and no end of energy with many trophies of his own.

Bill Tyndall "The Trapper" is semi retired, lives in Chitek Lake and helps us out whenever we need him. His knowledge is priceless.

Ed Sarrazin has been a farmer/hunter all his life and helps us out with his wealth of experience.

Dale Bahrey, my brother in-law, will keep your organized and on time. He doesn't stop from morning 'til night.

Fran Hornsby helps Joyce in the kitchen. You'lll be asking for her recipes.

And last but not least the anchor Mark Schumlick who has hunted, guided and runs his own camp Caribou Trail Outfitters. Mark harvested the biggest non typical in 1997, scored 238 2/8 which is on display, when the trail has gone cold we call on Mark, he has appeared on outdoor shows such as Buck Masters many times and is personal friends with Jackie Bushman and Russell Thornberry.

Then and Now The new lodge is on our own farm which is conected to the hunting area. We have 15 bedrooms for your comfort, along with six bath rooms. Also an out camp tent on one of our remote areas for sleep overs, for the more hardy / passionate. This is the stage of our lodges in July / 2007
