Whitetail Deer & Black Bear Hunts

WHITETAIL DEER HUNTS

NORTHERN WHITETAIL OUTFITTERS - SASKATCHEWAN

Whitetail Deer HuntsSaskatchewan can boast having the biggest whitetail deer in the world and prove it since the world record is here. The deer hunts start in late October, for our archery hunters, and ends the last week of November for the rifle hunters. The hunt is five and half days if needed. Tree stands, usually 16 feet high, or ground blinds are used over bait plots creating feed stations for the does and a natural magnet for the “the BIG one.” Due to the remoteness of camp there is very little pressure from other hunters and the possibilities of harvesting a trophy are excellent so we encourage taking 140-inch horn or better.

PRICES

The six day hunt is $4,500.00 US dollars.

The cost includes license and GST.

In an effort to protect and ensure our future trophy deer, we will charge a $300.00 fee for any deer shot under 140 inches. Half will go to the camp, half will go into a pool that will go to the hunter who gets the biggest deer that week. First time hunters and over 70 are exempt.

* Gratuity and applicable taxes not included

MORE INFO

Saskatchewan laws enable outfitters to hunt over supplemental food plots, thus increasing the opportunity to see many deer in one day. The does are more frequent at these sites and act as magnets attracting the bucks. The shots are usually 100 yds and due to the size of our deer we recommend you bring the appropriate gun 300 mag or equivalent. Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding heights (16 ft.) or hunting from a closed in ground blind, your comfort is a priority.

The Whitetail Hunt

The day starts early with a large hot breakfast and a packed lunch to take out to the stand. Clients are usually driven to the stand by ATV. Guides will check on hunter at regular intervals at predetermined times. Hunters will be picked up shortly after legal hunting time and brought back to the lodge for a hot meal, hot shower and comradely with other hunters and comfortable bed. Some of the rooms are double or single occupancy.
